Mad Cars is an online slot developed by Push Gaming that was released in 2022. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where the only way to survive is by winning the Mad Race.
The Mad Cars slot’s reels are set within the post-apocalyptic wasteland, and its symbols include several people; a man in orange, a woman in purple, a man in blue, and a woman in green. There are also dice, steering wheels, wrenches, and traffic cone symbols too.
The Mad Cars slot uses a 5×7 slot layout with 50 paylines, and it requires a bet of between £0.10 and £100, with a chance to win up to 25,000x your bet. To make these wins, you’ll need to match three or more identical symbols on a single spin and payline.
At the highest bet, the highest-paying symbol is the orange man, which pays £200 for landing three times, £2,000 for landing four times, and a maximum of £10,000 for landing five times. After this, the purple woman pays up to £5,000, the blue man pays a maximum of £2,500, and the green woman pays up to £2,000. Meanwhile, the dice, steering wheel, wrench, and traffic cone symbols each pay a maximum of £500.
The Mad Cars slot comes with high variance, so you’re more likely to make large infrequent wins when playing the post-apocalyptic slot. It also comes with an RTP (Return to player rate) of 96.39%, which is average for most video slots. The RTP tells you the amount of all wagered money that is eventually returned to players, and the higher the RTP rate, the better.
The Mad Cars slot comes with a slew of special features, although there are no wild symbols. For example, there is an extra row above the reels known as the boost reel that reveals boost symbols for each spin and reel.
The boost reel symbols include; a multiplier symbol that awards a multiplier of between 2x and 100x your bet to instant prize car symbols; gas symbols with values that move instant prize car symbols and scatter symbols up the reels; multiplier and gas combo symbols that multiply the value of a symbol and move the symbol forward; blank symbols that do nothing; and survivor symbols that applies a persistent effect that prevents the car on that reel from spinning off if another car exceeds the slot’s top row.
There are instant prize car symbols that act as bet multipliers with values of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, and 100x. These car symbols can land on the reels, but only one per reel. They start at the bottom row and remain on the reels until they are awarded by exceeding the slot’s top row. If there are multiple car symbols and one exceeds the top row, all others will spin off the reels.
There are scatter symbols which land on any reel but only on the bottom row. Whenever the gas symbol appears, it moves the scatter forward, and when it passes the top row, the mad bonus feature is triggered.
The mad bonus feature starts with seven free spins and five instant prize car symbols on the bottom row. There are no paying symbols in the feature, only instant prize car symbols. When one instant prize car symbol exceeds the top row, another instant prize car symbol will appear on the bottom row of the same reel, and an additional spin is awarded.
During the mad bonus feature, the boost reel will contain all of the base game boost symbols along with extras; line up symbols that align all other instant prize car symbols to the same row; persistent payer symbols that distribute their own instant prize value to car symbols; persistent collector symbols that collect all prize values from the car symbols and add them to its value for that spin; and a combo of persistent payer and collector symbols.
There’s also the mad race random feature, which is triggered randomly after the final spin of the mad bonus feature. When this is triggered, all instant prize car symbols exceed the top row and payout. Once this is done, the mad bonus feature finishes.
There are several games similar to the Mad Cars slot, all of which utilise a post-apocalyptic theme. One game similar to the Mad Cars slot is Wild One by Peter & Sons, which uses a 6×4 layout with 4,096 paylines, and has an RTP of 96%. The game includes symbols like skulls and mutated humans, as well as card symbols. Special features in the game include an avalanche mechanic, expanding symbols, a free spins mode, multipliers, and so much more.
Another game similar to the Mad Cars slot is Mayhem. Developed by Red Tiger Gaming, the slot uses a 5×3 layout with 20 paylines, and it has an RTP of 95.71%. Symbols in the game include grenades, mouths, dollar signs, helmets, and stylised playing card icons. For special features, you can enjoy wild symbols, re-spins, a free spins mode, and so much more.
The Mad Cars slot is an excellent online casino game that continues to push forward the gambling industry. Although the slot doesn’t utilise a unique theme, it manages to differentiate itself through its groundbreaking gameplay, which sees you watch as car prize symbols race to make your wins. The game remains unpredictable and exciting, no matter how many times you play it.
We believe that the Mad Cars slot is best suited to experienced slot players since it’s jam-packed with special features, most of which can easily overwhelm new casino players. It also offers high payouts, which can also be risky for new users. If you’re new to video slots, we suggest you try an alternative video slot.
